Colonial Beach Comprehensive Plan 2009 Update & Implementation

The Town of Colonial Beach adopted its 2009 Comprehensive Plan Update on Jan 14, 2010. During the update process a number of activities and public meetings were conducted. Information about those activities and chapters of the plan are available for download to the right.
The plan includes many issues that affect the quality of life in Colonial Beach such as: growth, housing, zoning, transportation and business. It provides the vision and background for zoning and subdivision regulations that help guide land use and development in the town. It also serves as a guide for local government rulings on public and private development proposals and for budgeting public funds.

The town is actively pursuing many of the implementation strategies identified in the plan. The Town has received a Downtown Revitalization Planning grant through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. See the link to the right for more information.
